Shani decided to go back on the Clean Program to try and get back some much needed energy. In theory, this is accomplished by cutting out a whole ton of foods. (As if I didn’t have a hard enough time cooking for this girl!) This means I’m basically on the Clean Program as well. (Though I refuse to give up coffee and wine!)
Her staple breakfast during the week is a smoothy followed by a hard boiled egg and piece of turkey bacon. Well eggs and bacon are not part of the Clean Program. I don’t particularly like smoothies very much which leaves me looking for breakfast alternatives. What I came up with is a nice change of pace as well as a great alternative to oatmeal on those cold winter days.
Ingredients Used:
- 1 cup cooked Quinoa
- 1/2 cup vanilla almond milk
- 1/4 cup berries
- 1/4 pineapple chunks
- agave to taste
Heat in the microwave for about 45 seconds. Enjoy!
