(Almost) Guilt-Free Dessert – Mango Cream Bars

Gluten Free Mango Cream BarIf you’re craving something sweet, but are trying to be “good”, I highly recommend that you try these scrumptious little treats.  When you first pull these little bars out of the box, you might feel like you’ve been cheated.  They are really small.  Compared to a regular Popsicle they are probably half the size.  But what they don’t have in size they make up for in flavor.  Yummy!


The make-up of the bar is about two-thirds fruit, one-third cream.  A perfect combination.  The mango is nice and sweet and the cream, well, adds a nice creaminess!  They come in at least two other flavors that I know about, Raspberry and Cream and Mocha and Cream.  I’ve tried and enjoyed the Mocha bar and the Raspberry is next on the list.

The ingredient list for the mango cream bar isn’t bad at all.  Mango is the second ingredient, right after water.  So to make yourself feel better about having a little dessert, remind yourself that you are having fruit.  Mangoes have a whole host of health benefits including improving digestion, boosting memory, and improving your sex life!  Okay so maybe one small little mango cream bar won’t do all of that immediately, but what about if you eat the entire box?  I may have to try that.  And, of course, the most important thing, is that they are gluten free!


One other bit of information is that each bar has only 60 calories and 2 grams of fat!  So don’t exclude dessert from your diet if you’re trying to slim that body up for the summer season, just pick something a little healthier! Enjoy!

    Oh my goodness, I can’t just eat one is the problem. I usually go through the whole box telling myself that four of these little treats are equal to one whole popsicle. The problem is I think these things have a lot of sugar. Bummer…why can’t they make them with Splenda?
